The inside of a bus. Note that on this one you either pick up a ticket or insert a bus card when you enter from the back. Then at the front you pay according to the number on the display and your ticket, or simply insert your bus card again. Rather efficient actually (although expensive).

I keep on meeting these people. They're also working for Sharp (over here from Singapore on training right now) and speak English perfectly...

This is the Kintetsu line Tenri Station (JR is around here too). This is where I have to go for Nara, Kyoto, Osaka or anywhere else by train.

There are ticket machines on the right and the actual entrance is under those X's and O's (this is actually Gakuenmae Station, but they all look about the same)

Find your destination on this map (all the prices list how much it is to reach that station from this one). The red dot shows which station this is. And all the destinations are written in kanji characters of course! On the right side is Tenri station, and the furthest left station is in Osaka.

This part is rather easy... the default option is for 1 adult on the main line. So simply insert in the amount of money shown on the map, press the number which corresponds to this figure, and your ticket (and change) will pop out the bottom.

These gates are automatic, so you insert your ticket in one end and it'll pop out on the other side for you to reclaim. If you're leaving the station, it will keep the ticket if it's of the correct value from the right destination. If you paid too little however, the yellow gates will pop out and noises will sound (and armed guards will arrest you and take you away... although I haven't paid wrongly yet so this is just what people tell me :-) ).

I snapped this off quickly before the doors closed.
More to come!
